LAYERS
2023–2024
During the realization of the series "Layers", I was dealing with farewell and memories. My personal challenge was to delve deeper into perceiving the different layers of grief – to fully confront the pain and to face it head-on. The works show intuitive forms, grayscales, overlapping elements, and translucent layers that correlate with this inner process. 2–4 overlaying shapes of tracing paper create different shadings. This process resulted in two series of 6 and 8 drawings.

LAYERS at „Zwei”,
ErsterErster Gallery Berlin, 2024
„Zwei" is the second joint exhibition by Teresa Gruber and Miriam Lehnart at the ErsterErster Gallery. Both artists explore the theme of memories from different perspectives. Teresa is showing works from her series Layers. Here she created new levels and shadings through the overlapping of intuitive shapes and hatchings. Miriam showcases a selection of photographs from her series A Day After Full Moon – 52 still life images created over the course of 2023.
